New owner for local health services agency
CanCare Health Services Inc. has acquired All-Care Health Services Ltd., a community care agency that provides nursing and home-support services from Port Hope to Kingston. CanCare is a community care agency based in Toronto and Hamilton.
"We want to assure all of All-Care's clients that their services will continue as before without interruption," says Eric Paul, President of CanCare, "nor do we expect any staff changes as a result of the change of ownership."
All-Care was founded 25 years ago by Georgina Thompson of Belleville. It has grown and prospered over the years and today provides services for private clients as well as the community care access centres of Northumberland and of Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington. It also provides services for Corrections Canada. The agency's offices are in Belleville and Kingston.
CanCare has a similar 34-year history of providing home-care services. It is an accredited service provider to a number of community care access centres in the Toronto-Hamilton area where it also serves private clients. CanCare is a recognized leader in the use of technology to improve patient safety, quality and accountability.
"We, at CanCare, feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to carry on the vision and excellent service that the Thompsons and the dedicated team of All-Care's health-care professionals provide to the community," says Mr. Paul. "The synergies of our two companies will provide excellent opportunities for growth in home care and nursing services in all areas of Ontario." |
