CanCare receives 3rd accreditation

In April, 2006, CanCare Health Services Inc. was fully accredited. This is CanCare's third successful accreditation demonstrating their high quality service and commitment to excellent care. CanCare thanks all clients, employees and community partners that participated in the accreditation process.

CCHSA (Canadian Council on Accreditation Services) recognized CanCare for a leading practice from the 2006 survey. CanCare was commended for their telephony program and will be recognized on the CCHSA website and other written materials for this leading practice. Information cited by CCHSA included, "Clients seem to be reassured that there is a connection between the agency and the care being provided in their homes. Clients can also observe that staff keep to a schedule. Clients therefore get a better sense that they are receiving the service required". This information will be shared with organizations across Ontario as being "leading edge" and an area to be exemplified.

2008 Client Satisfaction Survey Results

  • In March 2008, 639 clients from Hamilton, the GTA, Kingston and Belleville were sent a Client Satisfaction Survey. This represents approximately 25% of our total clients.

  • 248 clients returned the survey-a response rate of 39%. This is a significant improvement from last year, where 33% of our clients responded.

  • 95% of our clients that responded indicated that they are satisfied with the overall quality of their services.

  • 97% of our clients that responded would recommend CanCare to a friend or family member.
