In March 2010, CanCare Health Services Inc. was fully accredited by the Canadian Council on Accreditation Services (CCHSA). This is CanCare's fourth successful accreditation demonstrating their high quality service and commitment to excellence established through leadership and evidence-based care. CanCare thanks all clients, employees and community partners that participated in the accreditation process.
CCHSA recognized CanCare as a leader in home health care from their 2010 survey. CanCare was commended for their focus on best practice initiatives and for their telephony program. The telephony program will be recognized on the CCHSA website and other written material for this leading practice. Information cited by CCHSA included, "Clients seem to be reassured that there is a connection between the agency and the care being provided in their homes. Clients can also observe that staff keep to a schedule. Clients therefore get a better sense that they are receiving the service required". This information will be shared with organizations across Ontario as being "leading edge" and an area to be exemplified.
